The photo above is from 1890 of the PRR depot. Note the Gay Nineties dress of the passengers.

The photo below is from 1900

This one is from 1940.  The station lost its roof !

B&O RR Station

The top photo is from 1900. The bottom is 2008 with one track left..

And here is the B&O track during the Big Snow of 1950.

 

West Penn Railways

The houses on Connellsville Street were built by the Pennsylvania Wire Glass Company for its workers. The West Penn Railways streetcar came from Connellsville to the north, past Sitka and down into Bowest siding, just north of Dunbar, up the hill to Connellsville Street as shown, then south to Dunbar, Pechin, Mt. Braddock and eventually Uniontown..
